
The following courses are based on MasterCAM software and are offered specifically to: mechanical engineers, designers, technologists, and any related occupations.

The following courses are offered:
This course focuses on the creation of 2-D geometry and 2-D milling operations featured in MasterCAM X3. Learn the techniques and methods that can be used to produce correct and efficient CNC code for the milling operation. Topics include:
- create, modify, and X-form 2D geometric entities
- tool paths in top tool plane
- 2-D and 3-D contour tool paths
- pocketing
- engraving letters
- drilling, counter boring, pick and chip break, tapping
- trim tool paths
- tool and material definition and their libraries
Prerequisite(s): Mechanical Drafting and exposure to mill operations is essential.

This course focuses on the creation of 3-D geometry, single surfaces and surface 3-D milling of a single surface operations featured in MasterCAM X3. The course explores the techniques and methods that can be used to produce correct and efficient CNC code for the milling operation. Topics include:
- creation of a single surface (Ruled, Revolved, Swept and Lofted)
- flow-line rough and finish tool path
- contour rough and finish tool path
- pocket rough and finish tool path
- project rough and finish tool path
- usage of containment boundaries
- filter tool paths to combine collinear moves with a stated tolerance
Prerequisite(s): MasterCAM - Level 1 or equivalent knowledge.
