Sheridan has its own in-house International Admissions Team to process your application accurately and efficiently.

How to Apply

Complete the Sheridan International Admissions Application Form online. A payment of $100 CDN non-refundable application fee is required at the time of application. Acceptable methods of payment include electronic wire transfer and Visa or MasterCard.

English Proficiency

All International applicants whose first language is not English, must provide a successful TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or IELTS (International English Language Testing System) score.

For Diploma/Certificate programs we require a minimum:
• IELTS – 6.0 Overall band with no Band below 5.5*
• TOEFL iBT – 80 with a minimum 0f 20 in each section

For Applied Degree and Graduate Certificate programs we require a minimum:
• IELTS – 6.5 Overall band with no Band below 6.0*
• TOEFL iBT – 88 with a minimum 0f 21 in each section

Applicants with a minimum of three years high school or post-secondary studies in Canada, Australia, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, New Zealand, Singapore, U.S., U.K. and some Caribbean* countries will be exempted from TOEFL/IELTS requirements upon provision of a full transcript.

*Excluding International applicants from Cuba, Dominican Republic, Haiti, and Puerto Rico

English Proficiency is not required for Sheridan's ESL program. Students enrolled in Sheridan's ESL program may be offered conditional admission to full time programs pending successful completion of the EAP level. Applicants to a diploma/certificate program must achieve a minimum 70% in EAP. Applied Degree and Graduate Certificate applicants must achieve a minimum 75% in EAP.

IMPORTANT CHANGES FOR SEPTEMBER 2012 APPLICATIONS:

*Please be advised that students applying for admissions effective September 2012, or who have their admissions deferred from January/May 2012 to September 2012 will be required to have met individual minimum Band requirements on their IELTS scores.

In order for us to process your application, all academic documents must include your Sheridan ID number and date of birth. Please upload academic documents here.

Note: Only upload documents if you have completed a successful application and received a student ID number. Please note that these documents must be accompanied by a notarized, official translation into English. DO NOT include portfolio attachments (refer to the Applicant Selection Information for specific portfolio instructions. Applicants to programs which require a portfolio assessment will have access to view this information via myStudent Centre using their account information.)
